The Moomins The Moomins The Moomins, trolls who live in the northers woods, were created by the swedish-finnish author Tove Jansson (1914-2001). Not only children have learned to love the Moomin stories. Especially the later books also handle many adult topics.   The first Moomin-Book ever was released in 1944, the ninth and last one in 1970.
